ICAC unit investigation leads to arrest of Chandler resident

CHANDLER - Recently, an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation led to Lincoln County resident Robert Tippy being charged with aggravated possession of child pornography and violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, as reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Payne County Master Gardener Golden Shovel Awards

Once again, the Payne County Master Gardeners will be presenting Golden Shovel Awards in Cushing. We look for interesting front yards that grab our attention. For July we selected two yards. Ryan and Jillian Blakemore live at 1119E 8th St. They moved into their home in 2005.

(Oklahoma City) – Voters who have received an Address Confirmation Notice in the mail from the State Election Board are asked to respond as soon as possible to avoid having their registration become “inactive.

State Waterfowl Stamp Art Entries Due Aug. 31

Every year for the past 42 years, Oklahoma has conducted an annual Waterfowl Stamp Design Contest to celebrate great artwork and to raise funds for wetland habitat projects across the state. This year’s duck stamp contest is under way, and all entries are due by Aug. 31.

Cushing Commission approves consent agenda

CUSHING - The regular meeting of the Cushing Board of Commissioners was held this past Monday on July 17 – all routine matters listed under the consent agenda were approved with only one item being addressed further.
