Payne County runoff planned August 23

The primary elections are in the record books and while they fi nalized many races, some offi ces remain up for grabs. Any race where a single candidate did not garner more than 50 percent of the vote, was sent to a runoff election, which will be held August 23.

Absentee Ballot Deadline Approaching for runoff

Voters in Payne County who want absentee ballots mailed to them for the August 23 Runoff Primary Election should apply now, County Election Board Secretary Dondee Klein said today. Absentee ballots are available to any registered voter, provided they are eligible to vote in the election requested.

For at least two months, a number of business owners in the Broadway District have raised concerns to city offi cials about drivers running the four-way stop lights at the intersections of Broadway and Harrison and Broadway and Cleveland.

The grand opening of the Ripley Market, as an extension of Our Daily Bread - Payne County in Stillwater, took place last Thursday, July 7 at the Ripley Community Center.
