COVID-19 Update

Oklahoma State Department of Health as of Sept. 6, reports the total cases of COVID-19 in the state of Oklahoma at 530,594. There has been an increase of 112 active cases bringing the current active cases to 23,492. There have been 499,290 recoveries reported.

Arrests

The following individuals were arrested by the Cushing Police Department between Aug. 30 and Sept. 3. Individuals named are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Crews awarded Scott A. McGinnis Scholarship

For the second year in a row, Justin Crews, a Turf Major, was awarded the Scott A. McGinnis Memorial Scholarship by Scott’s parents, Ray and Tricia McGinnis. The presentation ceremony was held August 21, by the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Oklahoma State.

Former tiger walks on at TCU

Former Cushing Tiger Trevor Ailey, who spent a season with the Oklahoma State University Cowboys football team before taking some time off has walked on with preferred status to the Texas Christian University football team where he will play as a Horned Frog.
