COVID-19 Update

Oklahoma State Department of Health as of August 9, reports the total cases of COVID-19 in the state of Oklahoma at 486,232. This is an increase of 11,387 from last week. There are currently 15,540 active cases in the state. This is an increase of 9,548 from last week.

Cushing student named to dean’s list at Ouchita Baptist

Evan Kennedy of Cushing was listed among the 367 students named to Ouachita Baptist University’s Spring 2021 Dean’s List. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must compile a 4.

Emergency Management Director Bob Noltsenmeyer, to Retire

Bob Noltsenmeyer will be retiring after a couple decades of keeping the citizens of Cushing safe through his work in emergency management. Come August 27 he will offi cially be retiring from his position of Cushing’s Emergency Management Director.

Stillwater: A Review

My fi rst trip to the movie theater in around 18 months and I’m doing a movie review. Imagine that. I travelled to Tulsa for an early screening of the new movie Stillwater. The fi lm was directed by Tom McCarthy, who directed the Oscar winning movie Spotlight in 2015.
