Washington man charged with possession of cocaine in Perkins

STILLWATER — A 36-year-old man from Seattle, who was arrested following a traffic stop by Perkins Police Officer Tyson Lester, has been charged with possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, having drug paraphernalia and carrying metal knuckles in his pants pocket.

CUSHING — The Cushing Public Library is inviting community members of all ages to climb aboard a magical holiday adventure during its 2025 Holiday Open House this coming Saturday on Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 215 North Steele Ave. The come-and-go event is free and open to everyone.

Hudson Refinery Superfund Site marks 30-years of cleanup and oversight

CUSHING — Recently, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) completed the Hudson Refinery Superfund site’s third Five-Year Review.

CORRECTION:

In last weeks article regarding the Girl Scouts, it was Troop 79 which decorated the Cushing Marketplace with Troop 790 having made handmade ornaments. Both groups are local with Troop 790 leaders being Rebecca Green and Candace Slender and consisting of Kindergarten through 3rd grade members.
