AGRA - On Monday, April 22 the Pre-K students at Agra Public Schools witnessed the miracle of birth when the chicks that had been incubating in the classroom hatched. Hands-on learning such as this has become increasingly popular nationwide following countless studies showing positive results.

Ripley Public Schools announces Valedictorians Maggie Battles, Mollie Battles, Beau Burch, Dakota Hall, Drew Lininger, Mark Lunsford, Carolyn Overton, Kendyl Overton, Taleah Simon, Presley Thomas, and Andrea Varble, and Salutatorian Blake Baker. Ripley Graduation will be May 11 at 6 p.m. at the Brenda Dale Performing Arts Center.

CUSHING - A gift from God was bestowed upon Don Wilbur, in the form of a harmonica laying in a creek bed in 1939 at the young age of 11. “I picked a harmonica up when I was in a Salvation Army home and found it in a little creek coming down from the mountain where snow was melting and I picked it up and said I’m gonna learn to play it,” he said.

CUSHING — The annual Great American Clean Up hosted by Cushing Pride was held in Cushing on Sunday, April 14. Andie Retherford acted as Cushing Pride leadership on this year’s event.
