Summer is once again drawing to a close and area schools are in preparation for the return of students. From meeting new teachers to first day reminders we have gathered some information that families in the area may need before the school bell rings.
Donna Wilson spends most Wednesdays and Fridays selling fresh fruits and vegetables and raw honey on Main Street in Cushing or around Chandler. Her son and her rotate locations of the stands they set up with produce prices up to $30. Be sure you have cash if you stop in — they are not currently able to process any type of card payments.

STILLWATER -- A 48-year-old Perkins man has been given a fiveyear prison term followed by five years of probation for drunk driving in Perkins at N. Main and Highway 33 after prior DUIs in Logan, Major and Osage counties.
