WISTER — The Cushing Lady Tigers placed sixth at the OSSAA Class 4A regional golf tournament held at Wolf Mountain Country Club on Tuesday, finishing just outside the top four needed to qualify for the state tournament as a team.

CUSHING — The members of the Cushing Municipal Authority made a decision on the longstanding topic of utility rates during a meeting held Monday night on April 21. The officials unanimously voted to approve two resolutions that resulted in an increase in utility rates for electric, water, and sewer.

CUSHING — Cushing City Attorney Jonathan Huseman has announced that he has accepted a position outside of the city and will resign his position fully on June 30, the end of the fiscal year.The announcement was made during Monday’s meeting of the Cushing City Commission.
The Cushing Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) presented the NSDAR Excellence in Historic Preservation Certificate of Award and medal for the preservation of the Dunkin Theater. “Dawn and Geoff Beasley are greatly appreciated for their commitment to our community's historic preservation,” said Sue Cline, Cushing Chapter Historic Preservation chair.
