Alvin Brent Thompson, 74, died September 24, 2021 in Stillwater, OK. No services are planned and his care was entrusted to Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK.
Born on April 13, 1947 to Alvin and Jewel Thompson his fi rst home was in Prague, OK. After high school, he attended Northwestern State University where he played baseball and became a teacher and educator. He worked for the Economic Development Corp. As a member of his community, he was active in Jaycee’s and Rotary Club. OU football and St Louis Cardinals were his favorite sports teams to watch and he was a devoted John Wayne movie buff .
Survivors include his wife, Anna; son Joe Thompson; daughter Amanda Horton; stepdaughter Alina Pavlishinets; granddaughter Georgia Cauble and grandson Gage Thompson
