Aquilla Fay Fisher, longtime Oilton resident, passed from this life on January 18, 2022 at her home at the age of 80 surrounded by loved ones. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Oilton. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Aquilla was born on November 24, 1941 to Herod and Donna (Taylor) Florence in Drumright, OK. She grew up and attended school in Drumright. After graduating from Drumright High School, Aquilla met and fell in love with Donald Ray Fisher. They married on May 14, 1959 in Drumright and had two children: Debbie and Donald Jr. Aquilla was a hard-working and caring mother, making sure her children and husband had anything they ever needed. Once she became a grandmother, her heart was full. She attended every sporting event and school function for her grandkids and great grandkids. Aquilla enjoyed spending time camping with family and close friends.
Aquilla is survived by two children Debbie Powell and Donald Fisher Jr.; four grandchildren: Jennifer Green, Justin Green and wife, Stacy, Jeff Green and wife, Kimberlee, Chris Fisher; six great grandchildren: Logan Lovgren and Shannah Harris, Kaitlyn Grace, Araiha Green, Ellison Green, Lincoln Green, Kolbee Green; one brother: Nilo Florence.
Aquilla is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Donald Ray Fisher Sr., both parents: Herod and Donna Florence; three brothers: Edward, Jarel, and JD Florence; one sister-in-law: Belma Florence.
