Memorial services for Barbara Burden, resident of Jenks, Oklahoma, were held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 in the Olive First Baptist Church with Pastor George Brock, III offi ciating. Barbara was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on April 2, 1941 to the late Horace Grandvill Zumwalt & Bethel Ophelia (Morphew) Zumwalt. She passed suddenly from this life at her residence on December 6, 2021 at the age of 80 years, 8 months, & 4 days. Barbara was raised & educated in Cushing & was a 1958 graduate of Cushing High School. She received her LPN education at Central Vo-Tech & had worked as a nurse at the Cushing Regional Hospital ER for many years. She had also worked in home health care & as an instructor for the CNA program at Vo-Tech. Barbara had lived the majority of her adult life in the Drumright & Cushing areas. She recently moved to Jenks to be closer to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a SON: Brian Kelly Burden.
Her remaining family includes 2 DAUGHTERS: Shelly Goff & Melanie Osterhout, both of Jenks; SON: Patrick Burden & wife Renee of Glenpool; DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Krista Burden of Bristow; GRANDCHILDREN: Brandy – Leon – Kelsey – Blake – Drake - & Brooklyn; GREAT Grandchildren: Leon – Zoe – Bryce - & Zane; 1 BROTHER: Bob Zumwalt & wife Beverly of Cushing; plus numerous other relatives & friends.
