Billie Raye Johnson, 91, of Paso Robles, California, passed away July 10, 2022, with her family by her side. Born to William Stephens and Myrtle Porter, June 30, 1931, in Perkins, Oklahoma, she graduated Perkins HS in 1949.
Billie married Perry Johnson in 1949, and they lived in Miami, Oklahoma for 45 years, then Oilton and Cushing. In 2016 they moved to Paso Robles to live with their son, Johnny, and his wife, Pamela. Billie is survived by her husband, Perry, her only child, Johnny, and three grandchildren - Zachary, Daron, and Cassandra.
Billie was a loving and devoted wife and mother, married to Perry for 73 years. She worked in banking in Miami before becoming Periodical Librarian at NEO A&M Jr. College, retiring after 21 years. A committed Christian, Billie was a talented singer of Gospel music, enjoyed painting landscapes, and fi shing, spending many summers with her husband in their RV on Grand Lake.
Billie will be forever remembered and loved by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held in the Johnson home, and notes of remembrance and condolence may be sent there: 796 Oxen St., Paso Robles, CA 93446.
