Billy Ray Turnbow was born June 1, 1933, to Paul and Ruth (Lawson) Turnbow in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life March 8, 2022, at the age of 88.
He graduated from Moore High School in Moore, Oklahoma. He then served his country in the United States Army for two years.
Billy had worked at numerous jobs during his life, such as, auctioneering and selling real estate. He retired from Federal Aviation Admiration as an Engine mechanic.
On July 9, 1999, he was united in marriage to Laverne Harting in Stillwater, Oklahoma. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring old cars. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Turnbow; two stepsons, Richard McIntyre and Carl McIntyre; one brother, Larry Turnbow; three grandchildren, Avery McIntyre, Maren McIntyre, and Norah McIntyre. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister.
A viewing will be held the morning of Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Matherly-Davis Funeral Home from 9am to 1pm. Graveside Services will be held 2PM Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing, Oklahoma.
