Carolyn Sue Mackey was born on November 24, 1947 in Cushing to Harold and Edna Brassfield. Carolyn passed from this life Friday, November 8, 2024 after a battle with cancer at the age of 76 years old.
Carolyn received her education from the Cushing School system. She worked as a beautician owning her own shop for many years. She was united in marriage to Bill Wilson on February 6, 1965 in Cushing from this union they had two daughters, Terri Wilson Judd and Jana Wilson Thomas.
Carolyn was united in marriage to Donald R. Mackey June 9, 1985.
Carolyn loved spending time with family and friends. She loved to read especially Stephen Kinds novels, watching movies, listening to her favorite singers Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson.
Carolyn is survived by daughters and their husbands Terri and Willard Judd, Jana Thompson and partner Michael Hobbs, LaDonna and Mark Miller, son Jerry and his wife Tina Mackey. Grandchildren Miranda and Cody Magnes, Camren Retherford and partner Cade Welch, Cody Judd and partner Justin Moore, and Colby Judd. Keenan Mackey, Samantha and Michael Hoover, Leah and Corey Storm. Great-grandchildren Keifer and Maddy Mackey, Madison and Brooklee Magnes. Grace and Ashton Retherford, Lakelynn (Judd) Moore, Luna and Sunny Mackey, Jacob Storm, Aiden Freeman and Aubree Monton).
She is survived by sister Willetta Stanley of Cushing.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving parents Harold and Edna Brassfield and her beloved husband Donald R. Mackey and and daughter Tracy Mackey and many more loved ones.
A memorial service was held Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Crossway Church with Sonny Johnston officiating.
