Dave Allen, 58, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on September 27, 2023. He was born on September 23, 1965, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Clifford and Priscilla Allen. Dave is survived by his wife, Kelly, their children Elizabeth, Erin, Em, and Evan, granddaughter Millana, mother, Priscilla Smith (Stu), his brother, John (Darla) and their children, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dave was a competitive and funloving individual who also possessed a caring and generous nature. He was known for his hard work and creativity in everything he pursued. Dave had a passion for woodworking, computer tinkering, scuba diving, winemaking, and teasing his children.
After completing his education at Cushing High School, David received a degree in Philosophy from Oklahoma State University, and continued his educational journey obtaining a Masters at HEC Paris, specializing in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Dave began his professional journey in programming and product management before holding a Vice President position at Fujitsu. He went on to become the Chief Technology Officer at Sparta and later achieved the esteemed title of Distinguished Engineer at Google. His most recent role as Partner and Chief Technology Offi cer at Moneta Ventures brought him great satisfaction as he collaborated with treasured long-term colleagues.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Dave on December 2, from 2:00-5:00pm at the Evergreen, 618 SE Alder St, Portland, Oregon. It will be a time for family, friends, and colleagues to come together and remember Dave’s remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to The Dougy Center or Habitat for Humanity.
Dave will be deeply missed. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones and the countless lives he touched.
