Debbie Susan Lewis

Debbie Susan Lewis, 69, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, in Cushing, Oklahoma. Born on November 15, 1955, in Long Beach, California, to Merle and Shirley Main, Debbie grew up with a deep appreciation for family, creativity, and the simple joys in life.

A long-time resident of Orange and Los Angeles County for over 45 years, Debbie’s life was one filled with warmth, inspiration, and love. She worked as a dedicated bank manager in California for more than 30 years, guiding and supporting her team with grace and kindness. Later, she transitioned to a role as a PBX operator at Cushing Hillcrest Hospital, where she spent 17 years bringing her calm demeanor and dependable nature to all she served.

Debbie was a vibrant soul who found joy in life’s little treasures. She had a passion for exploring the world around her. A lover of classic television, she adored I Love Lucy and The Andy Griffith Show, as well as Disney franchises that brought out her inner child. Debbie also had a creative spirit, often spending time drawing, doing word searches, and sipping coffee while soaking in the beauty of her surroundings.

Her love for others knew no bounds. Debbie was a source of encouragement to all who knew her, inspiring friends and family alike to chase dreams—even the ones she couldn’t. Her unwavering support and kindness left a lasting impact on countless lives.

Debbie’s family was her greatest treasure. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Lewis; her brother, Kevin Main and his wife Angie; her sister, Karyn Ferris and her husband Roger; her beloved aunt, Peggy Pope; her cousin, Elizabeth Griff and her husband Joel, along with many other cherished nieces and nephews. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Nathan Lewis and Cierra Smith, who will forever remember their Grandma Debbie’s kindness, creativity, and unconditional love. Debbie’s future great-grandchildren will grow up hearing stories of her compassion and joy, ensuring her spirit remains a part of their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Shirley Main; her brother, Steve Main; her cousin, Robert Pope; her expartner, Thomas Sorenson; and her ex-husband, Kenneth Lewis. Each of them held a special place in Debbie’s heart, and she carried their memories with her throughout her life.

Debbie’s vibrant legacy is one of love, resilience, and generosity. She was a guiding light to those who knew her and a source of comfort and inspiration. Though her absence is deeply felt, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
