Dorothy Eileen Eberhart

February 12, 1937 - September 8, 2021

Dorothy Eileen (Dawes) Eberhart was born February 12, 1937, to Herbert Abraham and Mary LaVeta (Williams) Dawes in Mesa, Arizona. She was one of ten children. Eileen was born in an adobe hut along the roadside on one of the family’s move from Oklahoma to California during the Dust Bowl. She departed this life September 8, 2021, at the age of 84 in Stroud, OK.

On September 4, 1959, Dorothy Eileen Dawes and Fred Eberhart were united in marriage at the Church of the Brethren in Cushing, OK. They honeymooned in Branson, MO. From this union were born three children, Connie, Freddie, and Doug. They enjoyed over 61 years together before Fred’s passing April 28, 2021.

She was a dedicated farmer’s wife, a member for many years of the Council Valley Home Community Education Club as well as a faithful member of the Council Valley Advent Christian Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing solitaire on the computer, scrabble and sewing. For many years, Eileen and Fred enjoyed their trips to his Army Buddy Reunions. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Cherry Yum Yum became her signature dessert that she would bring to every family gathering or potluck. She would also send along cookies with Fred to many of his meetings. Eileen had a love for Jesus and always wanted to make sure her family knew about him too. She always had hugs to give to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Doug Eberhart, and wife Lori; one daughter, Connie Greb and husband Curtis; daughter in law, Linda Eberhart; two sisters, Carol Wall and Delores; six grandchildren; Brandi Raines husband Colby, Jody Loterbauer and husband Mike, Jamie Davis and husband Jake, Lauren Sanders and husband Jacob, Jennifer Creech and husband Ben, Robert Ellis and wife Gail; sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Freddie Eberhart, and siblings Cliff ord Dawes, Kenneth Dawes, Helen Frank, Jessie Tyler, Darrell Dawes, Herbert Dawes Jr., Jean Zook.

In lieu the family has requested that donations be made to Emerald Hospice at 925 NW 164th St, Suit B, Edmond Ok, 73013 as well at the Council Valley Advent Christian Church.
