Dustin Jacob Laffoon

Funeral services for Pawnee, Oklahoma resident, Dustin Laffoon, will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30th at the Olive First Baptist Church with Rev, George “Marty” Brock, III officiating. Interment will follow in the First Mission, Free Will Baptist Camp Ground Cemetery between Olive & Mannford. Funeral services are entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright, Oklahoma. Dustin Jacob Laffoon was born in Cushing, Oklahoma to Terry Allen Laffoon & Rebecca Jo (Tarwater) Laffoon on January 24, 1994. He passed from this life suddenly on July 23, 2026 at the age of 32 Years, 5 months, & 29 days. Dustin was raised & educated in the Olive area and was a 2012 graduate of Olive High School. He continued his education at NOC Tonkawa where he made several friends. He finished his education & graduated from Oklahoma State University at Stillwater in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Plant and Soil Science. Dustin met the love of his life Mikayla, in 2016 & they were later married on July 4, 2020 in Sand Springs. To this union 2 daughters were born: Emersyn Ruth & Riley Faye.

Dustin started his working career at the age of 16 working in a machine shop for his uncle Bill, then moved on to Hiland before his final job at the Koch Fertilizer Plant in Enid. He and Mikayla also owned & operated Laffoon Cattle Company while also working at Burt’s Backhoe Company as Vice President with plans to take over ownership. Dustin enjoyed staying busy and loved the farm life raising cattle, baling hey and spending time with his family and friends. But nothing was more special to him than being a Dad & raising his 2 girls. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Ronald & Alice Tarwater – Jim & Bonnie Laffoon; & a cousin: Amber Robinson.

He leaves behind his WIFE: Mikayla Laffoon & 2 CHILDREN: Emersyn & Riley; his PARENTS: Terry & Beckey Laffoon of Silver City; BROTHER: Matthew Laffoon & wife Emma of Silver City; SISTER: Madison Laffoon & spouse Daryn Leibig of Oilton; AUNT: Krista Wilson & spouse Bill Wilson of Drumright; COUSIN / BROTHER: Chad Tarwater of Sapulpa; his MOTHER- in-Law: Martha Hardnack & husband Jason of Glencoe; FATHER-in-Law: Steve Riley & wife Susan of Pawnee; BROTHER-in-Law: Tyler & Lorna Cavett of England; 2 SISTERS-in-Law: Ronni & Eric Blankenship of Yukon – Heather & Tray Clinesmith of Perkins; PLUS numerous Nieces – Nephews – Cousins - & other family members & friends.
