Emma R. Moore, aged 79, passed away on August 2, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Born on March 7, 1945, in Cushing, Oklahoma, Emma graduated from Cushing High School in 1963 and carried her love for singing into her adult life by dedicating 60 years to her church’s Gospel Choir. Her passion for crocheting and singing praises to the Lord brought joy not only to her but to all who knew her. Emma is survived by her sisters, Odette Scobey, Maria Morris, Laura Lou Pierson; brother, Erskine Moore; son, Michael Reed; nieces, Michelle Branscum, Krissy Green, Heather Moore; and beloved family members, Stephan Moore and Justin Green, along with countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gracey and Ruby Moore; brothers, William, Willard, Wilbert, Wallace, Winford, and Charles Moore; and sister, Mary B. Moore. A service to celebrate Emma’s life will be held at the 1st United Methodist Church in Cushing at 11 am. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Sunday, August 11th from 4-8 pm. Emma will be laid to rest at the Silver Star Cemetery located at HWY 33 & Harmony in Cushing. Her spirit and melodies will resonate forever in the hearts of those she touched.
