Fernanda Sue Mendenhall, longtime Yale resident passed from this life on April 12, 2021. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Oklahoma.
Fernanda was born April 18, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents Billy and WillaDean (Trower) Adsit. She married the love of her life, Tom Mendenhall and they would share many happy years of marriage together. Their union was blessed with two sons, Richard and Phillip. The family primarily lived in Yale and had many good times, fi shing, digging for crystals, and camping at the lake. Fernanda retired as a 911 Dispatcher working for multiple police departments across Blaine and Payne Counties. She was a spunky lady with a wonderful sense of humor that never passed up an opportunity to spend time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom; and one brother in law, Curtis Goddard.
Fernanda is survived by her sons, Richard Mendenhall of Stillwater and Philip Mendenhall and wife Shelley of Yale; siblings, Richard Adsit and wife Lynn of Yale, OK, Dianne Lovett and husband Roy of Bristow, OK, and Judy Goddard of Cushing, OK; grandchildren, Codi and wife Lacie Mendenhall and their son August of Drumright, OK, Houston and wife Olivia Mendenhall and their daughter Bindi of Stillwater, OK, and Chelsea Mendenhall of Cushing, OK; last but certainly not least was her beloved dog, Daisy.
The family will be having a private service in her honor.
