George Calvin Moore was born October 14, 1927, in Cudahy, California to Jesse and Julia (Garrison) Moore. He departed this life on October 11, 2024, a few days shy of his 97th birthday.
George graduated from Fort Gibson High School and then attended Northeastern University. He was united in marriage to Jo Elane Pugh on February 25, 1962; she preceded him in death on May 26, 2018.
George was a member of the Cushing Christian Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his children, Julie Cross and husband, David, James Moore and John Moore; one brother, Leonard Moore; grandchildren, Jed Cross, Joe Cross, Jess Cross, Kelsey Collum and husband, Scotlyn, Mackenzie Moore, Garrett Moore and wife, Chelsea, and Kassi Mitchell and husband, Mark; great-grandchildren, Brooke Cross, Cheyanne Cross, Sheamus Cross, Harper Mitchell, Maverick Mitchell, Griffin Moore and Theo Moore; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, George was preceded in death by sister, Pauline Shivers and brothers: Monroe Moore, Charles Moore and Sammie Moore.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 18, 2024, in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
