Glen “Buck” Lassley

Glen “Buck” Lassley passed away on April 27, 2022, in Cushing, OK. He was 87 years old.

He was born April 22, 1935, in Cleveland, OK to Albert Austin Lassley and Roxie D.M. Patterson. Buck was a dedicated family man who was the “go to” person when anyone had a need. Buck would do what needed to be done and was an overall generous person.

Buck married Wanda Jo Niccum on June 11, 1954. They had six children and made their home in the Quay and Yale area for the 67 years they were married. They have 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Buck worked in the oilfield and steel shops all his life. Buck enjoyed old time country music. Buck would let everyone know he was a Christian and a Democrat and proud of it -LOL!

Buck is survived by his wife, Wanda Jo Lassley of the home; daughter, Glenda Rogers of Tulsa, OK; son, Greg Lassley of Maramec, OK; daughter, Cherie Bryan of Yale, OK; one great grandson, Justin Lawrence Craig II; three sisters, Alice Tomlinson of Dallas, TX, Beverly Lassley of Cleveland, OK, and Lexi DeMario of Kennewick, WA.

Buck is preceded in death by three of his children, Kathy Watkins, Karen Armstrong, and Cindy Craig. Also preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Roxie Lassley, brother, Herman and wife, Imogene Lassley, brother Thurman and wife, Eve Lassley, sister Dorothy Posch and husband, Vince, sister Shirley “Bootie” Allen and husband, Lloyd, sister Gladys Ritzhaupt, sister, Wanda Ringle and husband, Bill, and brother in laws, Lee Matts and Gene Brashears.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glen “Buck” Lassley’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Lawson Cemetery with Brother Mich Dershem officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.
