Helen Sue (Camren) Brown, 78, of Tryon, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at her home.
Helen was born on March 21, 1946, to O.P. and Altha Camren in Agra, Oklahoma. She was raised and lived in the Agra and Tryon area. In 1967 she married Jimmie Lee Brown in Arkansas. Helen had two sons, James Brown of Oklahoma City, and Troy (Teri) Brown of Pensacola, Florida. In 1994 she and Jim divorced, and she later met her special friend, Harold Mefferd. Helen and Herold were together for over 25 years and lived in the country outside of Tryon until both of their deaths.
She is preceded in death by her special friend, Harold; her brothers, Bobby and Donald; sisters, Louise Ward and Lois Pirkle; sister-in-law Wilma Camren, and two brothers who died at birth.
Helen is survived by her two sons, James Brown and Troy (Teri) Brown; three grandchildren: Emily (Jake) Morris, Haley Brown, and Ryan Brown, all of Pensacola, Florida; two great-grandchildren: Asher Gray McCollough and Kennedy Blake Morris, both of Pensacola; her five brothers: Gene Camren of Grand Junction, Colorado, Jim and Judy Camren of Agra, O.P. (Pete) and Bessie Camren, of Agra; her sister, Marietta and Donald Watkins of Agra; her brother-in-law, Claude Ward of Inola, Oklahoma; and sistersin- law, Dixie Camren of Cushing and Linda Camren of Yukon.
Helen was a sweet and special person to all who knew her, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. The family of Helen would like to give a special Thank You to her special friend, Alisha Moore, for being there for Helen in her last days.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
