Jackson “Jack” William Lewis was born on March 21, 1945, to Charles and Rebecca (Johnson) Lewis in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life on June 8, 2025, at the age of 80 years.
Jack was raised in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School with the Class of 1963. He was drafted into the United States Army where he was served for three years before being honorably discharged. He attended Okmulgee Tech where he received his diesel mechanic certification. Jack made a living working and inspecting motors; he received many certificates, including dynamite expert.
Jack had an excellent memory for dates and time. He enjoyed NASCAR, eating, sleeping, watching TV, horse racing, hunting, fishing, guns, anything motor and had such a kind heart.
Survivors include his siblings, Patsy Williams, Marjorie Wright and Larry Don Lewis and wife, Brenda; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Braaten, Christina Lee, Charlie Lewis and many more; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by siblings, Oscar Boatman, Joe Boatman, Mike Lewis, David Lewis and Mary Mitchell; and two brothers-in-law, Allen Williams and Kent Wright.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
