A memorial service for Drumright resident, Judy Burris, was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Brock of the Olive First Baptist Church offi ciating. Private family burial of her cremains followed in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Judy was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on September 2, 1964 to the late Everett J. Shelton & Naomi (Lantz) Shelton. She passed from this life on August 7, 2021 at the age of 56 years, 11 months, & 5 days. Judy was raised & educated in Drumright & was a 1982 graduate of Drumright High School. She married James Gregory Burris on August 31, 1985 & they have remained together until her death. She has lived all her life in Drumright & was currently employed as a records manager for Plains All American Pipeline. She was a longtime member of the Drumright City Commission & was currently serving as Vice Mayor. Judy loved spending time on Keystone Lake at Akdar Park but her most favorite pastime she cherished most was spending time with her kids & grandson. Her remaining family includes her HUSBAND: Greg of the home; CHILDREN: Shelby Burris of Tahlequah – Gregory Burris of Drumright; GRANDSON: James Edward Tait “Jet”; 2 BROTHERS: Jim Shelton & wife Jeanette – Gary Shelton & wife Danea, of Cushing. Also several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, & friends.
