Karen Elaine Preston was born June 1, 1957, to Claude Frances and Doris Elaine Jones in Yale, Oklahoma. She departed this life April 20, 2023, at the age of 65.
She graduated from Mannford High School in 1975 where she was on the national honor society. She attended Northeastern State University where she minored in Math.
On January 7, 1978, Karen Jones and Ronnie Preston were united in marriage. From this union was born one son, Billy.
Karen had worked as store manager for Coast to Coast, manager for Vasser Plumbing and secretary for the First Christian Church. She was currently a member of the Cushing Christian Church.
Karen loved music and had sung background music on many recordings. She had also sang for the Tulsa Philharmonic under the direction of Skitch Henderson.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Preston; one son, Billy Preston and wife Courtney; one sister, Kathy Bennett; one sisterin- law, Belinda Jones; one brotherin- law, Bob Powell. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Steve and Bill Jones and one sister, Shirley Powell.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Matherly-Davis Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
