Kathy Joiner

Kathy Joiner, a beacon of love and laughter, left our world on August 29, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but her vibrant spirit remains a cherished memory for all who knew her. Born in Dallas, Texas, on November 27, 1956, Kathy’s life was a rich tapestry woven with kindness, faith, and an unflagging sense of humor that could light up the darkest of rooms.

Kathy attended Burleson Public Schools in Burleson, TX, where she decided that formal education could wait because life had other plans for her. She eventually earned her GED from Cushing in 2006, proving that it’s never too late to hit the books.

Kathy spent most of her professional career working as a dispatcher then later transitioned to her favorite job as a homemaker. As a homemaker she dedicated herself and worked tirelessly to ensure her family’s home was filled with love and home cooking.

Kathy loved attending Grace Senior Fellowship Church, where she served as an integral member of the congregation. She was a devout believer in Christ. Her life was a reflection of her Christian faith, which guided her actions and filled her with an unwavering sense of purpose.

Kathy enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening, and in her younger years, horseback riding. But more than anything else she loved her grandchildren Hunter, Lydia, Madison, and Elly the most. She treasured every moment spent with them.

Her afternoons were often spent at the Senior Citizens Center, where she was a cherished member of the community. Playing Singo, she would light up the room with her laughter and camaraderie, reminding everyone that joy can be found in the simple pleasures of life.

Kathy’s legacy is carried on by her adoring family: her children Bryan Joiner and his wife Ashley, Elizabeth Joiner and her significant other Jack; her treasured grandchildren Hunter, Lydia, Madison, and Elly; and her siblings William, James, and Wanda. She was a central figure in a vast tapestry of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, each of whom felt the warmth of her love.

She now joins her late parents, William and Josie Allen, and her siblings Pearl, Wesley, Jessie, and Carl, in eternal rest, leaving behind a world that is infinitely better for her presence.

Kathy Joiner will be remembered not just for her loving nature or her kind heart, but for her faith-filled soul that saw the comedy in life’s everyday moments.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A Celebration of Kathy’s life was held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025, in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ben James officiating.
