Lenora Webb

Lenora Webb, age 94, passed away on Sunday December 18, 2022 at Stillwater Medical Center after a short illness. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 21, 2022 at the First Church of God in Cushing at 10:00am followed by interment at Cushing Fairlawn Cemetery. A time of visitation with friends and family will be held at the family center of the Matherly-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday evening December 20, 2022from 6-8 p.m.

Lenora Webb was born to Walter and Doty Harlan on April 19, 1928 in Cushing, Oklahoma where she attended Cushing Public Schools through high school. She married H.B. Webb on November 22, 1944 and they were married nearly 75 years when H.B. died in 2019. They lived in Cushing since their marriage except for six months in 1945 when they lived in Idaho and six months in 1946 when they lived in Washington state. Lenora was a homemaker while her children were in school and then began a long career at Cushing Regional Hospital. After her retirement from the hospital she started working for Dr. Gary Detrich. She always had a love for animals. She was instrumental in forming the Cimarron Valley Humane Society where she worked on the cause of saving animals for the rest of her life. She was a long-time member of the First Church of God in Cushing. She is survived by her two sons, Walter (Sonny) Webb and John Webb, grandchildren Clint and wife Tammy Webb of Cushing, Andrea and husband Mike Hardcastle from Coppell, Texas, and Jeanette Rogers from Midwest City. She is also survived by former daughter-in-law Linda Anderson from Oklahoma City and her daughter Tara Bowers and husband Aaron from Oklahoma City, eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her Husband H.B., brother Ed Harlan, daughters-in-law Debbie Webb and Lydia Webb, grandsonin-law Jimmy Rogers and greatgrandson triplets.
