Louis Al Williams was born September 3, 1935, in Ripley, Oklahoma to Louis Albert and Morene Ruth Williams. He departed this life May 7, 2022, at the age of 86.
He graduated from Cushing High School in 1952 and later received his bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University in 1972. On June 16, 1973, Al Williams and Bonnie McKnight were united in marriage. He had worked as a chemical engineer at Hudson and Sunoco refi neries. He then began his teaching career at Cushing High School, retiring at the age of 80. Al was an active member of the Cushing Assembly of God Church over the last 34 years.
Al had many things he enjoyed including tending to his cattle, serving on the FFA scholarship board at Oklahoma State University and most importantly he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Williams; four children, Jane Williams and husband John, Debbie Reinke and husband Kirk, Bret Williams, Amber Novotny and husband Kenny; one sister, Judy Sheridan; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Barry Alan Williams; one brother, Larry Williams; one sister, Kay Boyd; one granddaughter, Brandi Hensley; one great granddaughter, Kristen Hensley.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Cushing Assembly of God church with interment to follow at the Parkland Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Matherly Davis Funeral Home.
