Marian Loveland was born on December 31, 1941, to Charles and Esther Eley. She departed this life on August 15, 2026, at the age of 84.
Marian spent her youth in Liberal, Kansas, where she graduated from high school and built the foundation of a life marked by dedication, faith, and quiet strength. On June 21, 1961, she was united in marriage to Mitchell Loveland in Liberal. Together they welcomed three sons— Monte, Mike, and Merrick— and shared twenty-one years of marriage before his passing on November 2, 1982.
Marian worked as a legal secretary for attorney Steve Cubbage, a position she held with professionalism and loyalty until her retirement in 2015. She was a faithful member of the Cushing First Church of God, where she served as church treasurer and blessed the congregation with her gift of music as a pianist. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and working puzzles, finding simple joy in quiet moments.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Loveland and Merrick Loveland and his wife, Pam; one sister, Bernie Byerly; and four grandchildren—Samantha, Maia, Mitchell, and Tyler.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mitchel; one son, Monte Loveland; and one sister, Irma Kidd. Marian will be remembered for her steady spirit, her devotion to family, and the faith that guided her throughout her life. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her legacy will continue in the hearts of those who loved her.
Funeral Services are 10:00am, Friday, August 21, 2026 in the First Church of God in Cushing. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
