Patricia Carol Fillmore was born August 24, 1927, to Francis G. Gillespie and Allie (King) Gillespie South of Ripley. She departed this life on November 25, 2023, at the age of 96 years.
Patricia attended Sunnyside grade school and graduated from Cushing High School in 1945. She attended one year at Oklahoma A&M College.
She was united in marriage to Gene W. Fillmore on Thanksgiving day, November 28, 1946. They farmed in the Dunkin Bend area for 26 years and then moved Southwest of Cushing with their beef cattle operation.
Patricia was a member of the Big Creek Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed painting, caring for others and working on the farm. In addition to her husband and parents, Patricia was preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Fillmore Judge; one grandson, Robert Wayne Judge and one brother, Kenneth Gillespie.
Survivors include her daughter, Regina Lacovara and husband, Joseph, of Arvada, Colorado; son, Randall Fillmore of Lawrence, Kansas; two grandsons, Rudy Lacovara and Peter Judge; one granddaughter, Kelly Ann Lacovara; three great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Michael and Taylor; one brother, Loren Dale Gillespie; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held Friday, December 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Big Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery with Reverend John Holderread officiating.
