Phyllis June Hairgrove was born July 31, 1933, to Jesse and Atha (Autrey) Roberts in LeFlore, Oklahoma. She departed this life on September 4, 2024, at the age of 91 years, with her family by her side.
Phyllis was raised in LeFLore and Heavener, graduating from Heavener High School. Following graduation, she attended OBU. Phyllis worked for Solutions in Tulsa for many years.
She was united in marriage to Louis Hairgrove; he preceded her in death on November 17, 2019, after 43 years of marriage.
Phyllis was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed pictures, working puzzles and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Leonard Delbert “Dub” Hargrove of Pryor, Diana Lynn Mueller and husband, Bill, of Perkins and Sharon Jean Vaden and husband, Bill, of Cushing; sister, Shearolyn Mahan and Krebs, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Darlena Adney and husband, Walter, Tracy Hutchins, Joseph Hargrove, Danny Bagwell and wife, Mayumi, RD Simpson and wife, Dedra, Poppy Payne and husband, Daryl, and Carol Mutz; eighteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Dale Roberts and James “Dick” Roberts and one great-grandson, Layton G. Hargrove.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa.
The family will greet friends on Friday evening, September 13th, from 5 -7 at the Matherly Davis Funeral Home Chapel.
