Robert Earl Morris Jr passed peacefully from this life at his home with his family by his side on Friday, May 6, 2022. Memorial arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.
Robert was born on October 3, 1959, to Robert Sr and Eulene Morris (Hixson) in Cushing. He was raised in Yale and graduated from Yale High School in 1977. To all those who knew Robert, they knew him as a hard-working man. He spent his years as a cattleman and had the greatest passion for his work. Robert was a diligent and relentless worker, built & grew his business with passion and spent his life doing what he loved. His love for his family never came second to his work, they were always his top priority. He was also a loyal and giving friend to anyone who needed him. He was always only a phone call away, no matter who or what.
Robert’s other passion was Rodeo. He spent many years team-roping, and even put on a series of Ranch Rodeo’s for several years. He loved to laugh and created much laughter. He had a great sense of humor and was ready with a joke. The kids said he usually laughed more at telling the joke than the people hearing it. His laugh was contagious, creating a home full of joy. His drive to live his life to the fullest will be greatly missed.
Robert is preceded in death by his dad, Bob Morris and his sister, Susie Cude. He is survived by his wife, Paula; his children, Emily, Brad, Braden and Addie and his two grandchildren, Emma and Sam. He is also survived by his mother, Eulene Hixson, 2 sisters and their families. Other survivors include several special nephews, nieces, and many bonus children whom he loved dearly, along with his many friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Crossroads Community Church, 52787 W. OK-51 Jennings, OK, 74038. The family will be present to receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK.
