Rosea was the wife of Martinez McKinney Sr. She was the daughter of Walter Lee Shanklin Sr. and Virginia Lee Garrett-Shanklin. She was the 2nd oldest of 5 children. Her older sister, Enedina Garret, younger sister Cassandra Shanklin, younger brothers, Walter Shanklin Jr. and James Shanklin.
She was mother to 5 children: Marshia Shanklin, Cornelius Shanklin, Adrian Shanklin, Kendra Turner, and Martinez McKinney Jr. She was grandmother to: Kamarion Shanklin, Makiah Shanklin, Jaycie Blan, Donavon Shanklin, McAliyah Shanklin, Adrian Shanklin Jr., Azarion McKinney, Kayani McKinney, Genesis McKinney, Legacy McKinney, DaMarron Turner, Wa’Chanti Turner, Na’Karen Turner. Nieces and Nephews: Whitney Thomas, Laroy Thomas Jr., Alexia Shanklin, Dakota Shanklin. Great Niece: Na’Ryah Juante Bryant.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Rosia’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Reverend C.D. Baker officiating.
