Sharon Rebecca Holman • February 21, 1944 — July 11, 2021

Sharon Rebecca Holman, a longtime Ripley resident, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at her home in Ripley. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Mehan Union Church, Ripley, Oklahoma. Rev. Roger Shaw will officiate.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Sharon was born on February 21, 1944 in Enid, Oklahoma to the late Morris and Eunice (Watts) Flournoy. She grew up in Oklahoma City, graduating from N.W. Classen High School. Sharon attended college at Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City graduating with an Bachelors in Education. Sharon became an elementary teacher, teaching 3rd grade and up in elementary school. She loved being a teacher and it showed with her students and fellow teachers. Sharon taught for Ripley Schools from 1981 until retiring in 2007. She retired to take care of her granddaughter, Madison. Sharon enjoyed fishing, also an avid reader – exchanging books with her best friend Teri, going on cruises with her husband Charles, and occasionally visiting the casinos. She loved spending time with her husband, family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.

Sharon is survived by her husband Charles Holman of the home, son Chase Blair Huston and wife Brandy of Ripley, son-in-law Willis Ross, sister Carolyn Mann of Oklahoma City, grandchildren Cody Dean Sheehan and Amy, Kellin Sheehan and Meagan, Ashlynn Elizabeth Huston and Madison Huston, great grandchildren Brylen and Easton Sheehan, Kaden, Mya, Jaxon and Kimber Sheehan, niece Shannon Thompson and great nephews Carson Thompson and Logan Ainsworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kelli Kay Ross and brother John David Flournoy.
