Steve Loveland

Steve Loveland, loving Husband, Father, and Poppy, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded in love, with his wife holding his hand on November 26, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Steve was born April 11, 1955, growing up in the Cushing and Drumright areas. He graduated from Drumright High School with the Class of 1973. After high school, Steve attended Vo-Tech and studied auto mechanics while obtaining his CDL. He always had a love for driving “big rigs” and operating large equipment.

Thru the years, Steve worked for various oilfield companies, drove over the road trucking, operated dredges for VMI, drove 10 years for Sunoco; and most recently during his semi-retirement, Steve loved jumping in a truck and driving for his son Greg’s company.

Steve and his wife Prisci were united in marriage on September 5, 1991. They were married in Kalispell, Montana and had always talked about returning there on their 35th wedding anniversary to renew their vows.

Throughout his life, Steve enjoyed woodworking. He was known in the family as the “Redneck Engineer” because there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix (one way or another). He loved spending time at the lake and attending all of his kid’s and grandkid’s sporting events over the years. Later in life, Steve became quite the farmer taking care of his chickens and goats (and had more dogs than he knew what to do with!)

Steve is survived by his wife, Prisci of the home; his kids, Gentry Lane and husband Derek of Perkins, Kerrigan Wiley and husband Mark of Cushing, Melissa Morris and husband Matt of Yukon, and Greg Morgan and wife Brandy of Cushing; grandchildren, Garrett Crossley and wife Jordan, Marcie Wiley, Marissa VanZant and Cody Earls, Kory Wiley and Rianne, Hayden Morgan, Heath Morgan, Beau Lane, Hope Morgan, Paizley Lane, Gemma Lane, Kade Morris, and Sailor Lane; great-grandkids, Josie Crossley, Waylon Earls, and Lincoln Crossley; as well as many extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ashley and Betty Loveland.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing; Reverend George Brock will officiate the services.
