George Edward Herring

George was born on October 2nd, 1929 in rural Lincoln County OK to Everet Leroy and Dona Myrtle (Moore) Herring. He passed from this life on January 24th, 2023 in Tulsa at the age of 93. In 1950 George married Margaret Nicholas. To this union one son, Edward Lindon Herring, was born.

Vicki Cauthon

Vicki Cauthon passed away on January 20, 2023, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing. To honor Vicki’s request, she wished to be cremated, no services are planned.

Lagretta Jean Berger passed away peacefully on Jan. 18, 2023, about five weeks before her 100th birthday. died The beloved mother of three comfortably as Oklahoma City doctors prepared to perform surgery.

Marilyn June Ledgerwood

Marilyn June Ledgerwood, 82, longtime Cushing resident passed peacefully from this life surrounded by family on January 20, 2023. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Harold Leon Spencer

Funeral services for Afton, Oklahoma resident, Harold Spencer, will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27th in the Olive First Baptist Church with Rev. George “Marty” Brock III officiating. Interment will follow in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery.

Janice Uhl Presley

Janice Uhl Presley was born on December 4, 1939, to Noel Uhl and Mary Myrtle (Shaner) Uhl in New Orleans, Louisiana. She departed this life on January 17, 2023, at her home at the age of 83 years. Jan graduated from New Orleans High School with the class of 1958.

Ronald Garry Hitch

Graveside funeral rites for Drumright resident, Garry Hitch, were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 7th in the Drumright Oak Hill Cemetery. Family member Todd Anderson officiated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.

Olive Brookshire

Olive Brookshire, 96, returned to her heavenly home on January 9, 2023. Olive was born in Cushing, OK on May 4, 1926, to Leslie and Clara Cotton (née Crites). She received her education in the Cushing school system and was a member of the CHS Class of 1943.

Donna June (Solomon) Hatchett

Donna Hatchett was born June 21, 1937 and entered into eternity January 9, 2023 at the age of 85. Services will be held at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing on Saturday January 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Toby Tiner officiating.
