Veterans Day, I attended a special memorial highway dedication ceremony at the American Legion Post 108 in Cushing. I ran legislation last session to name a portion of State Highway 18 after Roy 'Junior' Herring, a local World War II hero. The memorial portion starts at the intersection of State Highway 33 in Cushing and extends north along State Highway 18 for two miles.
