Flavors of ice cream

If you could have any flavor of ice cream right this second what would it be? Would it be chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry? Maybe butter pecan even? What if I told you this ice cream was special and didn’t have to be flavored like food, but instead could be a feeling or a memory?

Committee Work

This week, two high school students from House District 33 spent the week at the State Capitol participating in the House Page Program. Rebekah Beasley from Cushing High School and Avyn Hazzard from Stillwater High School were here to learn about the state government process.

Session, Committees Start

Our new legislative session kicked off on Monday, February 6, with the governor's annual State of the State Address. Legislators, statewide officials, our state Supreme Court justices and tribal leaders gathered to hear the governor's policy priorities and budget request.

I, like many others, watch the Super Bowl for one reason, and one reason only… The commercials. I didn’t even know who was playing until kickoff this year. After last year’s commercials, I was skeptical that this year would even be worth watching, however I was definitely proven wrong.

Oklahoma has a fractured system of 512 public schools, 25 charter schools, about 207 private schools 23.000 students home schooled and EPIC virtual instruction in every county. A mess. Include the 15 mills that 59 Career Tech schools are taking from many districts and the issues are compounded.
