The 7U Cushing Tigers turned a No. 4 seeding into a tournament win this weekend in Blanchard. After going 1-1 in pool games Saturday, they were listed as the number four team and qualified for the single elimination, win-or-go-home tournament on Sunday.

They didn’t go home until after the championship game. The 7U Tigers opened the tourney, playing the first game of the day Sunday, defeating OK Impact, 18-7.

That win brought them up against the No. 1 seeded OK Millers. The Tigers upset the Millers, 10-2, and advanced to the semi finals where they defeated the hometown Blanchard Bison, 15-6 and advanced to the championship game.

The title game turned out to be a rematch against the OK Outlaws, who defeated them in pool play Saturday night. After allowing six runs in the first, the 7U Tigers dug in and held the Outlaws through the remaining frames and in a come-from-behind surge, took the championship 13-6.
