Coming into this past season Cushing softball had some big shoes to fill.
The season prior was a great one for the Tigers, going 22-10 with a postseason run that ended in a state quarterfinals loss to Sulfur. But that wasn’t the only loss the Tigers would have going into the offseason. Graduating five seniors that all played big roles in the state tournament run, head coach Nikki York knew she was going to need her incoming seniors to step up and fill those roles....
