Power line fix causes road closure

CUSHING - On Tuesday, Dec. 3 the City of Cushing notified the public of a road closure at the intersection of Ninth Street and Little Avenue for power line work. According to Derek Griffith — assistant to the city manager, this was due to issues that had occurred several months ago.

Glencoe Murder trial continues

STILLWATER — A Payne County duo facing murder charges in connection to the 2023 death of 21 year old Samual Crawford, recently appeared in district court.According to court records, Micheal Warren Ritter’s case was continued to December 17 while Christopher Michael Somers’ was continued to Jan. 7.

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Detected in Domestic Flock

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) have confirmed a positive case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in Adair County. The virus was detected in a commercial poultry flock.
