Cushing City workers were hanging wreaths even before the Thanksgiving turkey was served starting the Christmas season off early by making things merry and bright.

Girl Scouts spread holiday cheer

A local girl scout troop is starting the holiday season with the spirit of giving to brighten the lives of the Cushing community from decorations to gifts.

County approves industrial access fees

STILLWATER — Last week the Payne County Board of Commissioners approved new industrial access permit fees to help pay for roads that are damaged by heavy equipment utilized by oil companies, wind turbine farms, and other operations.

CUSHING - Any one who attended art class at the Cushing Youth Center was likely influenced by Rob Smith and now, his former students will have a chance to congratulate Rob on his retirement, at a celebration scheduled for Dec. 10 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cushing Youth Center in the backroom.

County fair board election Feb. 3

Filing period Jan. 6-10 STILLWATER — The Payne County Commission last week adopted a resolution establishing the process for the Payne County Fair Board elections.The resolution stated the filing period is Jan. 6 through Jan. 10 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
