Former Republican Oklahoma Senator James “Jim” Inhofe passed away Tuesday morning surrounded by his wife Kay, his children and other members of his family. According to reports, Inhofe came down with an unexpected illness during the fourth of July weekend.

RIPLEY — Longtime Ripley resident John Briggs stood up in the town hall meeting on July 3 to voice his concerns on the state of the town. His main concern is the state of disrepair the town has fallen into as the result of certain codes not being enforced for RVs and mobile homes.

Woman hospitalized after wreck

AGRA — On Saturday, July 6, a two-car wreck at the intersection of SH-18 and 770 Rd. North of Agra resulted in a 74 year old woman being hospitalized according to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Conner Fryrear.

OKLAHOMA CITY - The summer time Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) dead week period started on Sunday, June 30, and will end on Sunday, July 7, 2024.During this time, student-athletes are not to participate in school athletic activities.
