PAWNEE — The Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum will celebrate Major Gordon W. “Pawnee Bill” Lillie, his wife May Lillie and their famous Wild West Shows with a celebration on Saturday, June 8. Pawnee Bill’s Original Wild West Show will be held at the original historic ranch site.

Oilton Police Chief terminated

OILTON — Oilton has a new top cop after the council again fired the town’s police chief.At the regular May meeting of the Oilton City Council, Police Chief Carl Stout was terminated following an executive session.

Summit hopes to open hydrogen production facility in Cushing

CUSHING - Summit Utilities, based in Little Rock, Arkansas, is paving the way for the company to build, operate and own a facility in Cushing where it will produce what the company calls “green” Hydrogen through the electrolysis of water, and blend it at a the same facility.

Summer Feeding program begins

CUSHING — Cushing Public Schools is offering a summer feeding program that began this Monday on May 28, according to CPS Superintendent Melissa Amon.“It’s going to be available until June 28, so for the next month,” she said.

CUSHING — A project that has been discussed for a significant time recently had a launch date set for June. According to Electrical Superintendent Mike Starks, the Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) for electric is on schedule for a June installation.
