CUSHING — The annual Great American Clean Up hosted by Cushing Pride was held in Cushing on Sunday, April 14. Andie Retherford acted as Cushing Pride leadership on this year’s event.

The following inmates were booked into Payne County Jail between April 8. and April 14. All individuals are innocent unless proven guilty.

Board of Commissioners approve payments to various companies

CUSHING — The City of Cushing Board of Commissioners met on Monday, April 15 to discuss and approve several routine matters listed under the consent agenda including two payments, three purchase orders, position appointments, and expiring term acknowledgements.
Members of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma Troop #79 and Troop #790 came to the City of Cushing Board of Commissioners meeting on Monday, April 19 where they were recognized for leadership skills. One-Act Play Festival and Fundraiser coming soon

CUSHING - The Cushing Community Theatre will be hosting a One-Act Play Festival and Fundraiser for the second year during the first weekend of May. Although it is the second year for the festival there is more than just new plays to entertain those who attend.

Cushing man injured in collision with power pole

CUSHING — A Cushing man was seriously injured last week when he apparently drove a full-sized pickup into a brand new metal electrical pole on Ninth Street in Cushing.
