Learn to Navajo weave during three-day event

CLAREMORE — Visit Shepherd’s Cross this January and learn how to Navajo weave over the course of three days. Held on January 4, 5 and 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., this basic weaving class includes a lesson in fiber arts history and practical technology.

Cushing Public Schools receives over $900K from TSET Grant

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) Board of Directors awarded over $900,000 to Cushing Public Schools of $4.6 million in funding for projects aimed at improving the health of Oklahomans through improvements in infrastructure.

TECUMSEH— Kyan Hermann, Agra, placed second in his respective categories at the American Farmers & Ranchers (AFR) Central District Speech Contest held in Tecumseh, Nov. 6. He competed in the Junior Agriscience category. This marks the 78th year of the statewide contest.

Christmas Market to be held this Saturday

CUSHING - The Cushing Chamber of Commerce Christmas Market in the Broadway District is set to take place this weekend — Saturday, Nov. 25 with markets opening as early as 11 a.m. Vendors will be set up on Broadway Street, Harrison Avenue to Cleveland Avenue.
