Cushing commission chairman resigns

On Monday, May 1 the City of Cushing Board of Commissioners held the annual organization meeting during which the reorganization of the board is established. One unexpected change was the resignation of Michael Griffith from office number four prior to the meeting.

Price gouging statute in effect, Drummond announces

Beware of contractor fraud The Emergency Price Stabilization Act is in effect in five Oklahoma counties impacted hardest by tornadoes and severe weather last night. The five counties are Cleveland, Lincoln, McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie.
Leroy Kalka, Chairman of Cushing Regional Hospital Foundation presents a check to Mid Griffith, Chairman of Cushing Board of Commissioners, for $44,051.21 to purchase a set of orthopedic operation equipment. Dr. Hanson, orthopedic surgeon, requires two sets. In the event something goes wrong during surgery, he has a backup. Dr. Hanson is now handling several cases a week at Cushing Hospital. The City of Cushing agreed to help purchase the set.

On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 1:14 p.m., Stillwater Police Department (SPD) responded to the area of 300 S. Payne in reference to a disturbance with possible shots fired at that location.
