Cushing Commission nominates Tyson Branyan to fill empty seat

At a special meeting on Thursday, March 23, the Cushing City Commission voted unanimously to nominate Cushing resident Tyson Branyan to serve out the remaining term of Commission Seat 2, which was vacated by Commissioner Dr. Lee Denney, who announced her resignation the previous Monday, March 20.

CMA approves payments for Harmony Road Substation project

The Cushing Municipal Authority trustees met on March 20 for a regular meeting during which payments, purchase orders, and resolutions were all approved.. The highest costing payment was for work in regard to the Harmony Road Substation. The substation project has been discussed for several months.

Cushing Commission holds monthly meeting

The Cushing Board of Commissioners met for the regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 20 which resulted in the approval of two resolutions, three purchase orders, two payment approvals and two authorizations of purchases.

Seat 2 appointment should not be made in haste

At Monday night’s meeting of the City of Cushing Board of Commissioners, Dr. Lee Denney submitted her resignation from Seat 2 of the board at the close of the meeting. Denney was appointed to fill Seat 2 in September of 2020, following the resignation of long-time Commissioner Brent Thompson.
