County requests jail audit

The Payne County Board of Commissioners Monday approved requesting the Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector's Office to determine the actual daily cost reimbursement for inmate incarceration for inmates being housed in the Payne County Jail by the Department of Corrections.

Talking Trash — The last five years

2018- I was selected by City Manager Terry Brannon to be the Director of Cushing Pride in mid February. My top priority was to rid the city of trash along its major streets hoping PRIDE would spread and Cushing citizens would clean interior neighborhoods through Adopt-A-Blocks.

Cushing resident Molly Payne was recognized recently with the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services’ Excellence in Communications award. The awards ceremony honoring Payne was part of DRS’ 29th People with Disabilities Awareness Day.
